Bullet-proof glass is a kind of composite material which is made of glass (or organic glass) and high quality engineering plastics by special processed method. It is usually transparent materials, such as PVB/ polycarbonate thermoplastic (general Lexan, also called LEXAN PC RESIN).It has the appearance and the transparency of ordinary glass, to provide protection against the shooting of small arms and will not be penetrated by the bullet.

The structure of bulletproof glass:
Bullet proof glass is made of transparent glued material which is glued together with many pieces of glass or high strength organic board .There are usually three layers of structure:
①Bearing layer: firstly, the layer is broken by impact, generally adopt large thickness and high strength glass. It can destroy warhead or change warhead shape, and make it lose the ability to move forward.
②Transition layer: generally adopt organic bonding material, strong adhesion, good light resistance, can absorb part of impact energy, change the direction of the bullet forward. In the middle of laminated glass there is a very strong and transparent chemical film. This not only can prevent bullet shooting effectively, but also has resisting surge shock, explosion resistance, shock resistance and no crack after impact.
③Safety protective layer: this layer is made of high strength glass or high strength transparent organic material. It has better elasticity and toughness, absorbs most of the impact energy, and ensures that the bullet can not penetrate the layer.

Performance characteristics:
The most important performance of bulletproof glass are bullet proof ability and impact resistance. The target of bullet proof ability is measured from two aspects. On the one hand, it is the ability of security protection; on the other hand, it is the kill ability of the protective gun.
